			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>S<span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">ometimes  it&#8217;s as easy as starting to move in the right direction. A few easy,  forward steps can be the start of something spectacular.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">This past weekend I was  having a lazy day. I was reading some books and raiding the  refrigerator and melting into the couch further and further with each  page that I read and each mouthful of food that I took in</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">Somewhere in the middle of my laying around a reality check hit. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">I reminded myself that  if I spent the rest of the day laying around doing nothing that I would  feel like a real slug and it might even bleed into the next day.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">We all have these lazy days. Once in a while it&#8217;s o.k. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">So I finally decided to get over it and start the move. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">I got up and did one of  the things that I enjoy doing the most to get out of a lazy day funk.  It&#8217;s to go for a walk up the bluff.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">Within the first 7  minutes my state of mind was already changed. I was happy to be out on  the road and I enjoyed the sweat that was running down my forehead.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">As I started to climb  the bluff road I was becoming even happier that I had made the decision  to get off the couch away from the grub.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">After my walk I felt  better physically and I went on to tackle some of my honey do list. At  the end of the day I felt healthier and happier that I had made the  decision to get moving. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">Sometimes getting  moving can be a bit harder. We know that we should be doing something  but for whatever reason we decide to do nothing about it. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">Our energy levels  suffer. Our mood suffers. Very soon our body also starts to suffer. We  don&#8217;t like what we&#8217;re doing to ourselves and we know it. We&#8217;re not  kidding anyone.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">Sometimes we just need  help and we need ideas. We need someone that we can learn from that will  make us accountable to ourselves and our goals. </span></p>

<p>It&#8217;s important that we put the monkey to rest sometime during the day and spend a little time with ourselves in quiet.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s many reasons for getting to a quiet place the most  basic of those being to be able to relax, unwind, and remove ourselves  from the hustle and bustle.</p>
<p>Meditation and exercise are the two things that I have found that can help me relax to start and end a day.</p>
<p>There are other ways for us to unwind but it seems that the  easiest, most effective, and safest are those that have to do with just  spending time with ourselves doing what we need to do to recharge our  batteries.</p>

<p>As with anything the information and knowledge that can make us  healthier is out there to find if we decide that we want it. Sometimes  it&#8217;s just best if we seek some of our own answers so that we don&#8217;t have  to rely on the hype of those who in some cases only want to pad their  pocket books.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m happy to say that over the past two years I&#8217;ve gotten to  meet and also recommend someone who is very knowledgeable on some great  ideas for us to put into our bodies and how we can make good nutrition  an important part of our healthy life style.</p>

<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">This past weekend I had an opportunity to be around an overload of energy.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">It was belt  graduation at our Karate school. Friday night was beginner testing which  I was not able to attend because of a previous commitment, but I heard  that the students who tested were really rockin.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">Saturday was our Black Belt testing. We tested people for 1st and 2nd degree Black Belt. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">The kids who  tested for 1st degree have been in the program for 3 1/2 to 4 years.  This is not something that a person just walks through and can do in a  hurry. These kids and their families make a commitment to train hard and  not give up when things get tough.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">All of the kids who tested for their 1st degree have come a long way in skill level and in willingness to go the extra mile.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">The students  who tested for their second degree had to put in at least two more years  from the time they tested for their 1st degree belt. So add 2 years to  the 3 1/2 &#8211; 4 years that they had already put into their training and  you can see these are motivated, dedicated people.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">I enjoyed  watching them perform their techniques but I also get a great amount of  joy watching the looks on their faces and the fire in their eyes as they  strive for these lofty goals.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">Ask anyone of them if all of the work and effort has been worthwhile and I&#8217;m sure that you would get a 100% for sure answer.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">Sometimes when people get older it&#8217;s easier to not expect as much of ourselves physically or challenge wise.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small;">Where are you  at with your present level of challenge and fitness? Are you happy or  do you need some work. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A few years back I asked a friend to take a look at some of the videos that I had produced. He came back and said that he liked them and that he had given the videos to his 25 year old son to look at.</p>
<p>The young man said that he also liked the workout but the guy who was doing the workouts was too old and needed to be wearing spandex.</p>
<p>Wait a minute. The guy doing the workouts was me and if you think I should be wearing spandex then ask my 17 year old daughter what she thinks.</p>
<p>Now that we&#8217;ve crossed that hurdle let&#8217;s share a few things that are really important.</p>
<p>First of all I&#8217;m 52 years old and many of the people that I&#8217;m helping to realize their healthy living goals are over 40. Our needs and desires are quite a bit different than those who are in their 20&#8217;s and 30&#8217;s.</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t think we&#8217;re as concerned with the perfect 6 pack abs or the proper color of spandex as we are about being healthy and strong and being able to live long, independent lives.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s not so much about looking good as it is about feeling good.</p>
<p>Taking care of ourselves gives us that chance.</p>
<p>As we age we take time to reflect a bit more on what we&#8217;ve experienced in our lives and what that experience has taught us.</p>
<p>We also realize that even though we may not be able to do some of the physical things as long and fast as we once did them, we can still do them and even learn new and better ways to stay healthy and fit.</p>
<p>Starting next Monday I&#8217;ll start showing you some videos that you can use to get your over 40 body and mind into great shape.</p>
<p>The technology is coming together and I think within another weeks time we will have the site where you can register for your F..R..E..E month of great health ideas.</p>

<p>Over the almost 4 years that I&#8217;ve been sending my emails out over the Internet I&#8217;ve had people ask me many questions about health, exercise, nutrition, meditation, weight loss, and living the best life possible.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s exciting to know that I&#8217;ve got a good many of the answers but I&#8217;m also very interested in bringing in the experts and making them available to you to make top notch, life changing information available to you.</p>
