Making A Difference February 26th, 2010
One of my favorite musicians recently passed away. Teddy Pendergrass passed away after complications from a terrible auto accident that had left him paralyzed.
One of his songs was titled Life Is A Song Worth Singing. Great song, great meaning. Here’s a story about a woman who lived her life to the fullest and helped thousands in the process. A real life hero. Enjoy reading about her. She really deserved the award
Have a great weekend

IN MEMORIAM 64 YEARS LATER
The prize doesn’t always go to the most deserving.
Irena Sendler
There recently was a death of a 98 year-old lady named Irena.
During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the WarsawGhetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist.
She had an ‘ulterior motive’. She KNEW what the Nazi’s plans were for the Jews, (being German.) Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried and she carried in the back of her truck a burlap sack, (for larger kids).
She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto. The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the kids/infants noises.
During her time of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants. She was caught, and the Nazi’s broke both her legs, arms and beat her severely.
Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard. After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it and reunited the family. Most had been gassed.
Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted.
Last year Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize…she was not selected.
Al Gore won, for a slide show on Global Warming.
It is now more than 60 years after the Second World War in Europe ended. This email is being sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the six million Jews, 20 million Russians, 10 million Christians and 1,900 Catholic priests who were murdered, massacred, raped, burned, starved and humiliated with the German and Russian Peoples looking the other way!
Now, more than ever, with Iraq , Iran , and others, claiming the Holocaust to be ‘a myth,’ it’s imperative to make sure the world never forgets, because there are others who would like to do it again.
This email is intended to reach 40 million people worldwide!

Laser Eyed Focus October 22nd, 2008
This past weekend I was reminded about the value of basics and fundamentals while speaking to Matt Furey. He was talking about the importance of creating power from an explosive twisting of the center. The seat of our power starts in the center of our body. It’s important to take care of it and to understand how we can make our movement stronger and more efficient.
Last Friday I sent out a video of William Cornell practicing his martial arts. Did you see it? Did you enjoy it? I’m sending it again today in case you were not able to see it. I would encourage you to take a look,
www.CombatEnduranceTraining.com/DailyNews
When William and I work together we always break things down to make sure that the little details are being taken care of. William is currently the #2 ranked martial artist in the U.S. within his Black Belt division and he’s set his sights on being #1 this upcoming year. I think he’ll do it.
The difference between #2 and #1 is microscopic. Often times it has come down to 1/100 of a point or even a tie that goes to a tie breaker. It couldn’t be any closer. It’s the 12ptest detail that makes a difference. It’s important that William and all of us take care of those details if we are looking to get our maximum performance.
The most important detail, as far as I’m concerned, is not physical. The most important detail is FOCUS. Pay attention. Get the instructions right in order that you can perform the function the way that it should be done.
When we talk to our young people and adults in the Karate school we mention and work on Focus in every class. Focus is the difference between better grades, better job, more self confidence, and an overall more alert and fulfilled life. Eyes open, mouth shut, and brain engaged.
If success is in the details and you’re interested in your best health and fitness then I would encourage you to take a look at my 9 Minute Combat Endurance Training workout and the other DVDs at www.CombatEnduranceTraining.com All the movements are broken down for you so that you can do them correctly for maximum benefit. Focus on the Combat Endurance details and you’ll be very excited about the results that you will get.

Breaking News September 18th, 2008
Today I opened the newspaper and one of the feature stories was about our government coming to the rescue of the huge insurer AIG. Seems that the guys on the hill decided that they were going to fire up the old money printing machine and give the guys at AIG 85 billion clams. You heard me right, 85 billion.
Seems as if things are a bit tight at AIG these days. Things seem to be tight all around. To anyone who owns their own business or any family in general I’m sure that you’ve all had your times. My feeling is that tough times just make us better and force us to figure out better plans of action. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could have the government come riding in on their shining horse and bail you out if things get a bit tough. I didn’t realize that our government was in the business of bailing out companies that don’t manage their business right. Thanks but no thanks guys, I’d rather not have you coming in to help. I’ll figure it out for myself.
We’re all in charge of our own business. We need to take care of ourselves financially, physically, mentally, emotionally and otherwise. Those of us who have figured out a system for taking care of our needs and the needs of those close to us are better off for it.
Finding a way to take care of all of these needs can only help us in the long run. We try new things and sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t. Either way the search teaches us something. If nothing else it makes us continue to search for things that will get us going in the right direction.
Much of the searching that I have done in my business has been to help kids and adults live healthier, stronger lives. Students in my karate schools and those in my Combat fitness classes have gained physical skills, life lessons, and improved physical and mental fitness. I like the combination of skills that my staff and I bring to the table.
The many who have benefited from our training have found that the effort to become physically fit has brought benefits in many areas of their lives. It’s a continuous commitment to staying healthy that makes a permanent and worthwhile difference. You can learn some of these same skills by going to www.CombatEnduranceTraining.com and getting your own helping of health and fitness.
I may not be the same fairy godmother that AIG has but I know that what I can give you can bring a smile to your face and add bunches of energy and strength to your daily routine.

Energy Healing September 14th, 2008
My hips, back, and legs have been really sore lately. I was thinking to myself that this soon to be 51 year old body is starting to fall apart. Last week I spoke to one of the guys in the Karate school who had been getting treatment from a person who is an energy healer.
I’ve done some of this in the past also and it’s really something to see what a difference it makes. So I got the person’s phone number and set up an appointment.
When I arrived at the home I was escorted to the treatment room and spent the next hour talking to and being relieved of some of the aches and pains that I was experiencing. After the one hour everything felt much better. I’ve decided that if I’m going to continue on with all of the working out that I’m doing then I’m going to have to go on a weekly maintenance schedule.
So you ask what did the energy healer do for me. I’m not going to go into much detail other than to say that whatever she did, it worked. Many people don’t understand the fact that we live in a world full of energy. It’s important that we plug ourselves into it in order that we can live the lives that we are capable of experiencing.
My conversation with this person for that one hour and for 30 minutes after my visit was very informative and very stimulating. As always I feel that it’s important to stretch our boundaries and learn more things. Things get boring when we go through the same routine and think the same thoughts everyday.
People in my Karate schools and those in my Combat Endurance classes will soon hear more about the exceptional healer that I met today. There’s a lot of strange and wonderful things in the world that at times are hard to explain. Sometimes the best strategy is to go with the flow and not over analyze everything.
Learning and life enrichment opportunities are all around us. As I spoke more to this person I realized that many of our goals were similar. Most notably that we both had a life goal of helping people live better lives and changing the world that we live in for the better.
We agreed that we are all given special gifts if only we take the time to realize what they are and open our eyes and hearts to the possibilities.
During the past year I’ve been very excited by the fact that people from all over the world are experiencing better health and fitness because of my Combat Endurance Training program. The Combat Endurance following grows each day. Last night I was looking at a list of names and addresses that we are collecting and I was amazed to find where people live who are accessing information about our program. Australia, Malaysia, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Albania, Philippines, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Romania, India, Kuwait. I could go on.
There is a wonderful momentum building of people who are coming in touch with the benefits of the Combat Endurance Training program. Take a step forward and see for yourself how this unique fitness program could change your life. Go to www.CombatEnduranceTraining.com now and make a commitment to your best health and fitness.
