Important Life Lessons… May 24th, 2010
I know I have sent this out before and it is worth resending.
1. First Important Lesson – Learn a Name:
During my second month of college, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions until I read the last one:
“What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?”
Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50’s, but how would I know her name?
I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade. “Absolutely, ” said the professor. “In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say “Hello.” I’ve never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was Dorothy.
2. Second Important Lesson – Pickup in the Rain
One night, at 11:30 p.m., an older African American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure a lashing rain storm.
Her car had broken down and she desperately needed a ride. Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car. A young white man stopped to help her, generally unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960’s.
The man took her to safety, helped her get assistance and put her into a taxicab. She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down his address and thanked him. Seven days went by and a knock came on the man’s door. To his surprise, a giant console color TV was delivered to his home. A special note was attached.
It read:
“Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway the other night. The rain drenched not only my clothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along. Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying husband’s’ bedside just before he passed away. God bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving others.”
Sincerely,
Mrs. Nat King Cole.
3 – Third Important Lesson – Always remember those who serve.
In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him. “How much is an ice cream sundae?” he asked. “Fifty cents,” replied the waitress.
The little boy pulled his hand out of his pocket and studied the coins in it. “Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?” he inquired. By now more people were waiting for a table and the waitress was growing impatient. “Thirty-five cents,” she brusquely replied.
The little boy again counted his coins. “I’ll have the plain ice cream,” he said. The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away.
The boy finished the ice cream, paid the cashier and left. When the waitress came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were two nickels and five pennies…
You see, he couldn’t have the sundae, because he had to have enough left to leave her a tip.
4 – Fourth Important Lesson. – The obstacle in Our Path.
In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the King’s’ wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it.
Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way. Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road.
After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway.
The peasant learned what many of us never understand! Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.
5 – Fifth Important Lesson – Giving When it Counts…
Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare and serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness.
The doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister. I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying, “Yes I’ll do it if it will save her.”
As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the color returning to her cheek. Then his face grew pale and his smile faded. He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, “Will I start to die right away”. Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister all of his blood in order to save her.
Most importantly…. “Work like you don’t need the money, love like you’ve never been hurt, and dance like you do when nobody’s watching.”
NOW more than ever – Please… Pass It On…
You never know how or when you’ll be paid!

Results are In…This is Exciting March 21st, 2009
It’s exciting to see people getting results. There’s something about seeing people reach their goals that lights my fire.
Yesterday I was in Madison with my son to see his high school alma mater play for the state basketball championship. They won their semifinal game and will play for the championship again tomorrow night.
This will be the 3rd year in a row that they are playing for the state championship. It’s been a nice run and it would be great to see them close the deal tomorrow night.
They’ll have a tough test in that the team that they are playing has won 4 of the last 5 state championships and also beat them two years ago.
If all goes well revenge will be sweet. It’ll be exciting to watch.
A while back I asked people that have bought some of my Combat Endurance Training products to fill out a survey for me. Many people responded and the answers that I got were inspirational and helped me quite a bit in knowing what my customers want.
It’s important for me to ask what I can do for you to help you achieve your goals. In our Karate school it’s easier to get to know people because we see many of them a few times per week and we’ve been able to establish a relationship because of the personal contact.
The Internet is different. Those people who see and buy my products on the Internet don’t know me or know anything about what I do. There are many things on the Internet that are hype and can be quite suspicious.
Developing relationships on the Internet is a bit more difficult. I’m trying to do it by sending out emails, showing you videos, and generally bringing value to you in any way that I know how.
So the surveys came back. One of the questions I asked was what has my Combat Endurance Training program done for you. I’m going to include some of the answers for you to see. Here they are:

- I have rediscovered lots about my body as far as strength and endurance
- My belly is stronger. My back is less painful. An arthritic knee was beginning to significantly affect my mobility and range of motion. It has improved to the point where most of the time I don’t even notice a problem
- I’m in the best shape of my life since my 20’s. I am now 59
- I just feel better physically and mentally- Makes me feel better
- My core has never been so strong

- I am stronger, fitter, happier and know I can push myself to limits I never thought possible.

- I exercise more often because it only requires 9 minutes
- It has encouraged me to push myself to the next level by doing one more beyond what I think I might be capable of doing
- I am stronger and am getting toned. I feel better about myself. I am taking care of myself

- Can outlast the young guns (15 to 18 year olds) When we go for a grueling ride on our ATV’s they have to stop and rest while I keep jumping and practicing tricks while they rest
- I have more energy now and am really feeling like my muscles are getting their flexibility back
- It has helped me a middle aged mom to get back into shape. It has helped my husband who has MS to keep his muscles functioning and it has helped our teenage children who are involved in many sports to stay in shape during and in between their sports seasons
- Given me a quick way to get in a solid workout on busy days
- I find it easy to use your training program any place I go
If any of these results interest you then make it a point to go to www.CombatEnduranceTraining.com and get some of these results for yourself.
The proof is in. This stuff works and it can work for you. The results are quick and they’re real. Why wait any longer?
Healthy bodies, healthy minds. It’s all tied together.

P.S. The way we think affects the way we feel. There’s a company that I’ve now developed a relationship with that helps kids and families become healthy and strong together. The books, dvds, and audios that this company puts out are the perfect tool to have at home to reinforce strong, healthy values and attitudes. Check it out for yourself at

P.S.S. Did you know that your brain is something that you can exercise to keep it young and vibrant. Stress robs your brain of its youth and can lead to memory loss and other ailments. Check out this audio to find out what you can do to save your brain.

President Obama January 24th, 2009
Can it be the start of something really big for America and the World?
Congratulations to President Obama. He certainly is the man of the hour. He’s done a marvelous job of marketing himself, now it’s time to see if he can deliver on his promises.
You’ll have to forgive me but over time I’ve lost a bit of faith in the promises of our politicians. The last 8 years haven’t done anything to make me believe.
So what gives Mr. Obama.
In all the things that I’ve heard he certainly seems to have his heart in the right place. He wants to help people. Certainly a worthwhile undertaking. I hope he goes back into the history books and takes some workable strategies from the past.
One of the most important ones is to help people fend for themselves. Franklin Roosevelt realized that people needed a hand up and not a hand out. Our country could use a healthy boost of people learning how to pick themselves up by their own boot strings.
Developing a plan and then following that plan is a clear step in the right direction for anyone who wants to make positive changes in their lives. What would this country be like if everyone were held accountable for their own decisions. That includes some of our big companies who think that they are above the law. No bailout for you baby.
Sure I realize that everyone goes through bad times. Some people’s bad times are worst than others. Is it ok to help those that really need help. You bet it is. At the same time it’s enabling and psychologically crippling to the individual and the country to continue to give things to people who are capable but are unwilling to help themselves. There’s a big difference.
So I wish our new president luck. I hope that he becomes the leader that we all are hoping for. I hope that he realizes that his real power will be giving power to people and helping them realize their potential and that he’s not planning to have government become the know all and end all.
We are all capable of great things if only we believe and move forward.

The Deadliest Catch January 23rd, 2009
There are some truly amazing stories out there. The one you’re about to hear ranks right up there with the best of them.
A few weeks ago I announced that I would be hosting two teleconferences per month. Well it’s that time again. It’s time for you to meet my friend and one of my mentors in my Internet business, Kevin Thompson. Before I tell you about Kevin I’d like to mention a few things.
My plan is to introduce you to as many interesting people who you can listen to and learn from as possible. They’ll all be sharing information with you that can help you learn and realize your potential.
Here’s Kevin…
I’m sure that all of you have seen the T.V. show ” The Deadliest Catch“
For seven long years that’s how my friend Kevin lived his life. There were more than a few times when he wondered if he was going to make it through the day. That’s some crazy stuff.
In all of those days at sea there were only a handful of days when Kevin wasn’t absolutely terrified. It was hard work and he pushed his body to its exhausted limits everyday. Backbreaking didn’t even begin to describe that work.
Kevin worked through painful injuries. Those injuries included a separated shoulder, more muscle pulls than you can imagine, and a major injury that I’ll tell you about in just a minute.
Then…
One night his crew found themselves in the worst storm they had ever seen. Kevin was out on the deck during the storm and a rogue wave hit the boat. It threw him to the other side of the boat and threw his face up against the boat railing. The impact busted out all of his front teeth and did other damage to his face.
Fortunately for him the railing stopped him from being pitched into the freezing waters of the Bering Sea. He felt lucky that he had only lost his front teeth.
He may have been lucky to be alive but at that point he knew that there had to be a better way to make a living. From that point on, he decided to make a change.
Kevin decided that there had to be a better way to make money.
WITHOUT working so hard…
WITHOUT putting his life on the line everyday for a paycheck.
So Kevin made a switch.
He left the brutal backbreaking work in Alaska’s deadly, freezing waters and he learned how to work smarter and make a great living while hardly working at all. Quite a switch.
As you can tell Kevin’s is a great story and he can tell it much better than I can. Not only is his story of survival as an Alaska fisherman a great story, but his story about his determination and willingness to find a better way is even more compelling.
Tuesday, January 27th, Kevin is going to talk about his experiences while fishing in Alaska but he’s also going to reveal his entire Automatic Income System to you and share with you how you too can make a substantial amount of money in his “secret” business…without… actually selling anything.
Well, he does sell a product…but…it’s not really “selling” at all. His automated system does ALL the selling for him.
For the last seven years he’s quietly used this system to put 7 to 10 grand per month into his bank account.
Kevin is going to pull back the curtain and reveal how the Automatic System works… and how YOU can use it to put substantial additional income into your own back account.
You won’t want to miss this teleconference. As I mentioned to you before Kevin is one of my mentors. I’ve learned a lot from him over the past year about building my own Internet business and the things that I’ve learned are working.
It’s a great feeling to be able to help people all over the world improve their health and fitness. Without Kevin’s help and the help of my other mentors I couldn’t be doing the things I’m doing. It’s been a fun ride and a great, rewarding education.
You can get to meet Kevin for yourself by joining us on this very interesting teleconference. Go here now http://www.CashFlowShortcut.com/ to register for Tuesdays seminar. Do your best to be with us on Tuesday. I guarantee it will be worth your time.

Connected To The Source January 22nd, 2009
| It’s always easier when we have a place and people that we can go to for answers. Many times the most difficult questions have easy answers if we only learn how to ask.
On Tuesday I had a meeting with another business owner and we talked about the things that we have been doing to grow our businesses and serve our customers.
She told me about the people and the resources that she has been using to help her run her business more smoothly.
She even admitted that computers are a scary proposition for her just as they are for me. It’s good to know that I’m not the only one who isn’t a computer genius.
She went on to tell me that meeting a few people over the past year that have been able to do computer things for her has made her life easier, helped her grow her business, and actually saved her quite a bit of cash.
As we continued to talk we discussed the entrepreneur’s gene that we are both blessed and cursed with. I told her the story of how my wife asks me not to think about work. I tell her that she’s just going to have to put up with me because that’s the way I’m wired.
I can be walking or talking to a family member and an idea comes into my mind about what I should try in the Karate school or with the Combat Endurance business and I write it down. It’s not something I consciously mean to do. It just happens.
My friend and I both realize that there are people out there who can help us do what we do better. It’s important that we realize our shortcomings and find people who know what we don’t.
It’s o.k. to admit that we don’t know everything. It’s more important to find those that can help us do things better. Putting our egos aside to work with people that know more is an important quality of a leader.
Last Thursday I introduced you to my friend Timothy Black. He is a person who has made his living selling products on eBay. He’s a guy who has been in the trenches and he knows what works and what doesn’t.
Timothy has a product that he shared with the listeners of the call that can help anyone understand, learn, and eventually sell products on eBay.
His program is very all inclusive and he tells you everything you need to know to fast forward your ability to take advantage of the incredible selling tool that is eBay.
It’s like going on any other journey. If you want to get to your destination it’s good to have a map to follow. Timothy has worked for the past 10 years putting together a system that can help you profit on eBay tomorrow. Why reinvent the wheel.
I’ve asked him to change his offer to those who still have expressed an interest in his product. He is now offering a chance to get his product and make 2 payments on it. Here’s another important point.
If you decide to jump on this 2 payment offer and decide that it’s not for you he’s more that willing to give you your money back. Here’s a chance to try a proven product without any risk. Test drive it and make sure that it’s what you need.

P.S. Last week I told you about another friend that I would have on a teleconference on Tuesday January 27. His name is Kevin Thompson. Kevin has an incredible story that you’ll hear about in tomorrow’s email. Be sure to tune in and mark next Tuesday at 7pm for the next teleconference. P.S.S. A few weeks back I received an email from a person who was upset with me because I was trying to sell my Combat Endurance Training DVDs and book. This person suggested that I stick to giving F..R..E..E advice.
I didn’t answer the person because he obviously didn’t understand and nothing I could have said would have changed his mind.
Please understand, my websites and my emails are my business. In order to make a business profitable it’s important that a person offer something of value that others want to buy.
It’s no different for me so with that in mind I continue to offer tidbits of information about health, fitness, energy, and attitude and also promote products that I believe in.

Fresh Ideas for 2009 January 9th, 2009
We always hope for the best to finish one year and move into the next. For the most part everything worked fine for me to close off 2008 except one thing.
At the end of last week the new year ushered itself in and also gave me a special surprise.
My computer locked up and I couldn’t do a thing with it.
Now I’ve gotten much more familiar with getting around the computer but I’ve still got a lot to learn.
Even though I wanted to fix the problem for myself, I finally had to admit that I needed to call in the professional.
So I unhooked my computer and took it to computer hospital for 4 days and everything was ready to go when I got it back
We all need help with things. We can’t know everything. That’s when we call in experts, Real experts.
Starting the New Year I’ve decided to offer all of those who get my emails some special learning opportunities. As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve been spending much time over the last two years meeting and getting to know a host of very interesting people.
All of these people are doing the same as I am in that they are learning how to share their knowledge over the Internet and create new businesses.
The energy in the room when I go to these meetings 4 times per year is beyond description.
It’s a positive energy with everyone there wanting to learn from others in order that they can make their businesses stronger.
I’ve decided to bring some of these people to you along with other friends that I know that have interesting things to share with you.
What I plan to do is host two teleconferences per month. Here’s some of the people that I plan to introduce to you.
Tim Black
Tim was born with cystic fibrosis and his parents were told that they should not plan for his college tuition because he wasn’t going to be around that long.. Pretty bleak outlook.
A while back I introduced you to Tim and his Fearless Breathing product. Now I’d like to have Tim speak to you again about what he did to make a living during his lifelong bout with Cystic Fibrosis.
Tim’s teleconference is scheduled for January 15 at 7 pm central. Tim is an ebay expert. For the past ten years he has made his living selling products on ebay and his system grosses him 6 figures per year. This is the guy you want to talk to about ebay.
Kevin Thompson
Some of you have already heard from Kevin but the response was so great the first time that I’ve asked him to come back. Kevin is a former Alaska fisherman who risked his life everyday to earn a living.
One day he decided, enough was enough. Kevin helps people develop their own Internet businesses and he’s very good at it. Kevin is a great guy and we’ve done work together and he’ll be helping me even more to grow my business.
Kevin knows what he’s talking about and he’s a straight shooter who takes very good care of anyone he works with.
Bob Groth
Bob is an accountant by trade but his real passion is helping people with Multiple Sclerosis. Bob has MS himself and every day is a challenge.
If you know someone with MS or you just want to hear an inspired story, you’ll want to hear what Bob has to say. He tells me that MS is a disease that many have but no one really likes to talk about. Bob is going to throw back the curtain and tell you all about what he’s learned to overcome MS and how he’s able to help others.
Suki Engle
Many of you have already heard about Suki. I’m sending people to her every week in order to help them with their aches and pains and to help them get their energy levels going in the right direction. She’s an amazing gal and her story will inspire and educate you.
Just a note. If you’re a person who only believes in what you can see with your eyes and have no desire to learn about your hidden power, the spirit in your life, and unusual ways to cure yourself of pains and illness than this is not the teleconference for you. On the other hand, if you want to learn and be enlightened, don’t miss this.
These are only a few of the people who I have on board to share their knowledge with you. Plan to pull up a chair and hear what they have to say. I plan to bring you only people that I have worked with personally, those who come to me very highly recommended, and those who have some real value to share with you. These people have something to offer if you have any interest at all in their topics. Watch for dates and times for speakers during January and February. For now mark your calendar for January 15 and Tim Black.
Regards,
Fred Nicklaus The Core Strength Doctor

A Mentor’s Energy December 8th, 2008
Two years ago I had the opportunity to become involved in a coaching group with Matt Furey. Since that time I have learned much from Matt.
The main purpose of the group is to learn how to market one’s product or other products on the Internet. Matt is extremely skilled at Internet marketing and I can’t begin to tell you how much I’ve learned over this time.
The really exciting thing is that he’s given me the opportunity to help people in my own area, my own country, and outside of my country become stronger, healthier, and fitter.
Martial arts and fitness training are the things that I know and love. My passion has always been to share my knowledge with those who are interested in growing mentally and physically.
Matt’s understanding of the Internet and his mentoring has helped me reach and help people that I would never have been able to help unless I have learned the things that he has shown me.
One of the other things that Matt stresses in the mastermind classes that I am a member of is the importance of surrounding yourself with good energy, whether that be yours or other sources of energy.
Lord knows, there’s plenty of negative stuff floating around all of which does nothing but rob us of our ability to do our absolute best.
It’s important that we are cautious about the people and places that we spend time with and at. It’s important that we listen to our own inner voice when it tells us that we should or shouldn’t do something. The bad decisions that we’ve made over time are often made because we didn’t listen to our gut.
After learning more about energy from Matt and others in the group who are knowledgeable about the subject I was fortunate to get to know a person locally who has an exceptional understanding of the importance of energy.
A few weeks ago I introduced many of you to Suchi. Since that time many have told me that they really enjoyed and learned from what she had to say. Since that time many more have come to my website.
I’d like to give all of you a chance to once again listen to what Suchi had to say about the special importance that finding the proper energy can have in all of our lives.
