Deficits…Budget Cuts…Blah Blah Blah February 18th, 2010
Don’t you just get sick of it. Last year I stopped getting the local newspaper. Why do you suppose. You got it. It’s nothing but a negative mess.
Front page, middle pages, and every other page full of junk.
Seems to me that it would actually help those who read the newspaper and watch the tv news if our media people would make it a point to cover more of the good stuff than the bad stuff. Hmmm…
So here is how it works in my estimation.
Every day someone hears and is fed this ridiculous sky is falling propaganda.
Government does it. School systems do it. Businesses do it.
It’s a constant bombardment of things are bad and the only way to get out of it is to MAKE CUTS. That’s not enough, MAKE MORE CUTS. Soon enough there will be nothing left to cut.
Let me clarify. Sometimes cuts have to be made. Sometimes businesses have to be closed. Sometimes bad things happen.
But here’s the point.
When it’s over MOVE ON.. We’ve all had bad things happen to us. Did it do any of us any good to keep dwelling on the negative? Me thinks it much better to learn from those negative experiences so we don’t do the same dumb things all over again.
It drives me absolutely wild the people who continually try to cram this Doomsday mentality down our throats.
I suggest that those in government, school systems, businesses try this.
Believe that a solution will be found that will make you prosper and start talking about and working on that. Get your people to start talking and thinking about it too. Share the Wealth.
Here’s a hint. The solution may not be found in doing the same old worn out stuff that got you in a mess in the first place.
We really become what we think and talk about. It’s much more productive to think that we and those we are connected with will make some really great things happen.
Cut mentality be damned. Negative thinking be damned.
Turning ourselves, our country, our schools, our businesses around depends on us and how and what we think about and then what we do after we think it. It’s a great feeling to be in control of our own destinies.
Make it a point to listen to and spend time with people and ideas that can lift you up not bring you down. Life is too short and too precious
Get yourself a piece of the good living pie. Lord knows, there’s more than enough for everybody if we only believe.

A World of Knowledge January 28th, 2009
Make sure this Saturday to clear your schedule for our two exceptional events we have planned. At 3 pm, our Demonstration Team will be performing at the Viterbo Basketball Half-Time Show.
Also, plan to spend a night with Kirk Risch at 630 pm at Blessed Sacrament for our Music Concert. Kirk is an old college friend who is a teacher and a coach. Your family and friends will enjoy the inspiring lyrics of his songs. See you there.
Moving on…
It’s a new start for America. Many people are excited because we have a new president and they are hopeful.
In the long run everything remains the same.
Even with new leaders in our country the final verdict as to what we do with our lives depends on us. We are the ones in charge of our destiny.
No government, no president, no one but ourselves can create the world
that we desire.
There are lots of folks who want something different for themselves. If so, what are they willing to do to change.
The definition of insanity is to do the same things and expect different results.
If anyone truly wants to make changes in their lives then they have to realize that they will need to commit to new behaviors and stick to the plan.
Take fitness for instance. Just a few weeks ago I started my new local Combat Endurance class. A woman came to a free class that I offered to try it out.
She said to me, ” I want results. I want to lose weight. I want to feel better about myself. I want to move in a positive direction”. Good for her.
She tried the first class and when I followed up with her she said that she was really sore. I told her before class that she would feel muscles that she never felt before and it would hurt especially for the first week.
I haven’t seen her since.
So how badly did she want to make the changes?
Your actions always speak louder than your words.
It’s my belief that a person will do most anything if they want something badly enough.
I’ve had kids ride their bikes from the other side of town in a snowstorm to get to classes. I’ve had kids and parents find extra work because they made it a point to come up with the money to pay for their Karate lessons.
“I’m really sore”. Give me a break.
I never said that it was going to be easy. Everything can’t be easy. It takes work, sacrifice, and continued growth to get to the place that you want to go.
Continued growth. This past weekend I was at another mastermind weekend with my mentor Matt Furey. This is my third year in Matt’s group.
I’ve spent time, money, and lots of effort to learn the things that I’m learning in order that I can grow my Martial Arts and Internet business. I’ve learned a lot.
This past weekend was like so many others.
A room full of people who want to learn and reach their potential.
Not unlike anyone else in this world, but DIFFERENT in a BIG WAY.
These people are truly willing to learn and put themselves in uncomfortable positions continuously. They are willing to TAKE ACTION.
Now it’s your turn, TAKE ACTION and get the results you want.
Fred Nicklaus
The Core Strength Doctor
P.S. I sat in meetings this weekend for hours at a time. I absorbed the information and understood a lot of it. Sitting and concentrating for long periods of time is tough. It wears on your body and mind. Many of the people in the group are also fitness enthusiasts.
P.S.S. This past weekend Kevin Thompson and I made a short video for you from Tampa. Check it out and get a feel for what kind of a guy Kevin is.

Weekend Update January 25th, 2009
| I usually don’t send e mails on the weekend. Today I’m sending you an email for those of you who are interested in the teleconference that I am doing with Kevin Thompson on Tuesday night.
For those of you who are planning to join us here is some more information about this exciting call
If you’re sick and tired of working so hard to make a buck, then you should take a minute to hear what my friend Kevin Thompson has to say
Here’s why
Kevin started his own business years ago after leaving the Alaska fishing business
In the beginning things didn’t work out very well for him.
He managed to spend tens of thousands of dollars and managed to work his butt off. Things were going so badly for him that he was ready to throw in the towel and give up
Fortunately, he discovered the power of using “automated systems”
After this discovery his entire life changed in a big way. He came to realize that there was a better way.
Now Kevin works a lot less, enjoys his work and his career a lot more, and enjoys life a lot more. Isn’t that what everyone wants. A chance to live life to the fullest and have more time and money to do what you want.
His automated system works for him 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and puts an average of 7 to 10+ grand a month into his bank account.
And- he’s made as much as $17,794.33 in a single month.
Do you know anyone who would like to have that kind of income on their second job
Kevin has a truly remarkable system, and that’s why I’ve convinced him to tell you all about it.
In fact, he’s going to hold a “live” Seminar-By-Phone where he’s gonna reveal ALL the juicy details
Go here now to join us for this eye opening event

Have a great weekend,

President Obama January 24th, 2009
Can it be the start of something really big for America and the World?
Congratulations to President Obama. He certainly is the man of the hour. He’s done a marvelous job of marketing himself, now it’s time to see if he can deliver on his promises.
You’ll have to forgive me but over time I’ve lost a bit of faith in the promises of our politicians. The last 8 years haven’t done anything to make me believe.
So what gives Mr. Obama.
In all the things that I’ve heard he certainly seems to have his heart in the right place. He wants to help people. Certainly a worthwhile undertaking. I hope he goes back into the history books and takes some workable strategies from the past.
One of the most important ones is to help people fend for themselves. Franklin Roosevelt realized that people needed a hand up and not a hand out. Our country could use a healthy boost of people learning how to pick themselves up by their own boot strings.
Developing a plan and then following that plan is a clear step in the right direction for anyone who wants to make positive changes in their lives. What would this country be like if everyone were held accountable for their own decisions. That includes some of our big companies who think that they are above the law. No bailout for you baby.
Sure I realize that everyone goes through bad times. Some people’s bad times are worst than others. Is it ok to help those that really need help. You bet it is. At the same time it’s enabling and psychologically crippling to the individual and the country to continue to give things to people who are capable but are unwilling to help themselves. There’s a big difference.
So I wish our new president luck. I hope that he becomes the leader that we all are hoping for. I hope that he realizes that his real power will be giving power to people and helping them realize their potential and that he’s not planning to have government become the know all and end all.
We are all capable of great things if only we believe and move forward.
Fred Nicklaus
The Core Strength Doctor
P.S.S. Here’s the next installment about a guy who knows how to pick himself and others up by their boot strings. Read more about Kevin Thompson.
Unless you’ve been sleeping under a rock, you’ve seen all the changes going on in the economy.
The media wants us to believe that things are only going to get worse.
A lot of folks have stuck their heads in the sand waiting for things to go back to normal.
Problem is…things are NEVER gonna go back to the way they used to be.
But…
Here’s the good news.
Yes, we are moving into a “new economy” but those of us who have insider’s knowledge and have systems that work will be the ones who get to profit
In fact, those who possess systems and insider’s knowledge are already profiting….RIGHT NOW.
If you too want to find out how to profit in this new economy, go here right now
http://www.CashFlowShortcut.com/
But here’s what’s MOST interesting.
As Kevin continues to spend more time being with his family away from work, he’s got a newborn baby, his income continues to grow-every single month.
Over the last several years he’s made 2 discoveries that have allowed him to make a considerable amount of money. These discoveries have been working even better in our new economy.
So…
If you’re ready to take matters into your own hands.
If you’re ready to profit in the new economy.
Then go here right now and join us for the training seminar that Kevin is hosting for you at
http://www.CashFlowShortcut.com/
Remember, there’s absolutely no charge for this event, but you must register right away.
I look forward to having you on the call.
Also…
Be sure to take a look at the very end of the CashFlowShortcut site for what other people are saying about Kevin and his work. It’s very inspiring stuff.

The Deadliest Catch January 23rd, 2009
There are some truly amazing stories out there. The one you’re about to hear ranks right up there with the best of them.
A few weeks ago I announced that I would be hosting two teleconferences per month. Well it’s that time again. It’s time for you to meet my friend and one of my mentors in my Internet business, Kevin Thompson. Before I tell you about Kevin I’d like to mention a few things.
My plan is to introduce you to as many interesting people who you can listen to and learn from as possible. They’ll all be sharing information with you that can help you learn and realize your potential.
Here’s Kevin…
I’m sure that all of you have seen the T.V. show ” The Deadliest Catch“
For seven long years that’s how my friend Kevin lived his life. There were more than a few times when he wondered if he was going to make it through the day. That’s some crazy stuff.
In all of those days at sea there were only a handful of days when Kevin wasn’t absolutely terrified. It was hard work and he pushed his body to its exhausted limits everyday. Backbreaking didn’t even begin to describe that work.
Kevin worked through painful injuries. Those injuries included a separated shoulder, more muscle pulls than you can imagine, and a major injury that I’ll tell you about in just a minute.
Then…
One night his crew found themselves in the worst storm they had ever seen. Kevin was out on the deck during the storm and a rogue wave hit the boat. It threw him to the other side of the boat and threw his face up against the boat railing. The impact busted out all of his front teeth and did other damage to his face.
Fortunately for him the railing stopped him from being pitched into the freezing waters of the Bering Sea. He felt lucky that he had only lost his front teeth.
He may have been lucky to be alive but at that point he knew that there had to be a better way to make a living. From that point on, he decided to make a change.
Kevin decided that there had to be a better way to make money.
WITHOUT working so hard…
WITHOUT putting his life on the line everyday for a paycheck.
So Kevin made a switch.
He left the brutal backbreaking work in Alaska’s deadly, freezing waters and he learned how to work smarter and make a great living while hardly working at all. Quite a switch.
As you can tell Kevin’s is a great story and he can tell it much better than I can. Not only is his story of survival as an Alaska fisherman a great story, but his story about his determination and willingness to find a better way is even more compelling.
Tuesday, January 27th, Kevin is going to talk about his experiences while fishing in Alaska but he’s also going to reveal his entire Automatic Income System to you and share with you how you too can make a substantial amount of money in his “secret” business…without… actually selling anything.
Well, he does sell a product…but…it’s not really “selling” at all. His automated system does ALL the selling for him.
For the last seven years he’s quietly used this system to put 7 to 10 grand per month into his bank account.
Kevin is going to pull back the curtain and reveal how the Automatic System works… and how YOU can use it to put substantial additional income into your own back account.
You won’t want to miss this teleconference. As I mentioned to you before Kevin is one of my mentors. I’ve learned a lot from him over the past year about building my own Internet business and the things that I’ve learned are working.
It’s a great feeling to be able to help people all over the world improve their health and fitness. Without Kevin’s help and the help of my other mentors I couldn’t be doing the things I’m doing. It’s been a fun ride and a great, rewarding education.
You can get to meet Kevin for yourself by joining us on this very interesting teleconference. Go here now http://www.CashFlowShortcut.com/ to register for Tuesdays seminar. Do your best to be with us on Tuesday. I guarantee it will be worth your time.

One Good Idea January 17th, 2009
One good idea can change a person’s life.
Tim talked to those on the call about his money making system for eBay. He also made a special savings offer to all on the call. The offer expires on Saturday at midnight. Be sure to check it out.
Over the past 30 years I’ve had the good fortune to come across many really good ideas. I think that everyone has the benefit of hearing things that can truly change their lives.
The thing that separates those that live extraordinary lives from those who don’t is taking some of these good ideas that everyone gets and putting them to use.
It’s the implementation and the forward moving that makes a difference.
Last night I hosted a call with my friend Timothy Black. Before the call we had a conversation and I told Timothy that it was important to me that we didn’t portray eBay as being some type of get rich quick scheme.
Timothy was fine with that and assured me that getting rich quick was not the way that he does business.
What he did say was that he would give people some ideas about tried and true ways to start learning about and finally making money on eBay.
Timothy proved to be true to his word. He spent an hour with me and people who had registered for the call and I can tell you that after listening for that hour I knew a whole lot more about what I might do to make money on eBay.
He made it very clear that it took some study and using a system that worked. He gave people ideas on what to do and what not to do. He was straightforward and to the point.
I’d like to hear from those of you who were on the call. Let me know what you thought of his presentation by sending over an email to nicksmaa@charter.net subject Timothy.
If you were not on the call or would like to hear the call again you can get it by going to
combatendurancetraining.com/interview_black.html
I’m going to host 2 teleconferences per month. It’s my goal to present speakers to you who are experts in many different fields.
These are also people who I know and trust. Rest assured that the ideas that all of them present to you will make it worth your while to be on the call and listening. Mark your calendar for Tuesday January 27 at 7pm CST for your next call with Kevin Thompson.
Timothy started out my teleconference series in great fashion. I appreciate his professional presentation and the many great ideas that he gave myself and all who were on the call.
One idea implemented well really can change a life.

The Smile of Stupidity December 30th, 2008
| Every day people cover up dumb decisions with a smile, a stupid smile.
It seems that some folks think that as long as you smile before or after you are about to do something dumb, it makes everything ok. Let me give you an example.A while back during a meeting with a child, mom, and dad I encountered the Smile Of Stupidity Law. Before this meeting the mom had told me that she is very uncomfortable around her 9 year old son. It seemed that he would become quite irritable, to the point of being violent, if he didn’t get his way. To her credit, she was asking for help so she could help her son. Mom and dad happened to be divorced and the son lived with the mom. Dad came in to the meeting that we had and told me how great his son was. How he was the second coming of everything good and perfect. After explaining that he proceeded to smile the smile of stupidity. You see, the smile of stupidity is usually used to cover up a load of bull or it’s used by some to remain blissfully ignorant. This guy was dealing in both. Next the 9 year old boy started to tell what he would like to see emphasized in the martial arts classroom. I interrupted the boy sage and told him that I wanted him to be quiet and listen to what I had to say. A look of shock immediately came upon the boy genius’ face. I would guess it was because it might have been the first time that someone had told him to be quiet and listen. I explained to him what I was going to do for him. I made it clear that we would do this my way and I would expect him to make the meetings that I had scheduled. After a few private meetings with me he started to see things in a different light. He realized that listening and showing respect to his parents was important. I was told by his mom that he stopped being as moody when things didn’t go his way. To his credit he was a very intelligent young man who needed help realizing where he fit in the pecking order. Back to the smile of stupidity. Why would someone smile when their world is absolutely coming apart? Why would they allow their household to be governed by an unruly 9 year old? Soon afterwards the mom told me that the dad chose not to have the son continue with martial arts lessons. He didn’t see how martial arts training was helping his son. I wonder what it must feel like living in a world of crap. It’s at that point that you wonder if I was looking at the same thing as the father. Obviously not. All of us can choose to see things in a real light or we can choose to see them with blinders on. Many times it’s easier to put on the blinders and put on the smile of stupidity. Sooner or later the situation will go away as long as we smile long enough and tell ourselves that it’s ok. Be sure that you don’t wear the SOS (Smile Of Stupidity) concerning important matters in your life. Be sure to not let the need for commitment, effort, and worthwhile achievement scare you away from achieving your potential. Fred Nicklaus P.S. I’ve seen the SOS many times when talking to people about their health and fitness. It’s hard to listen to them babble about all the reasons why they can’t be healthy. There’s not enough time, money, benefit, and many other ridiculous reasons for not being strong and healthy. Everyone has 9 minutes to feel their best. Go to www.CombatEnduranceTraining.com or www.The9MinuteWorkout.com to learn how you can feel your best.

Working Out With The Boys December 18th, 2008
There is no substitute for youthful enthusiasm. Get a bunch of 18-19 year olds together in a room and it’s easy to feel the energy.
My son is home from college. He came home on Monday. He doesn’t have to go back to school until the last week of January. I teased him that he’s going to have to relearn everything that he just learned during his first semester in school.
What a gig? Spend a few months going to college and then get a month and a half off. These college kids and professors have it made.
Earlier today my son Kirk and 2 of his buddies joined me for a workout. One of the guys now goes to school at the Citadel and he also had two of his friends with him. So all told there were 5 young, fired up college kids wanting to see what they could do.
My son and two of his friends had done the Combat workout before. They knew what to expect. We were doing the longer version of the workout, the intermediate and advanced version..
The two new guys didn’t know quite what to look for but they were giving it heck all the same. There was a lot of gruntin and groanin going on but a lot of smiles and thanks after the workout was finished.
After we finished I told the boys about what I’m working on.
I told them that I know that this program gets results. They nodded their agreement. It’s easy to feel.
Then I told them that I needed their help in getting the word out about Combat Endurance Training. I told them that the world wide Combat Endurance Training audience is really growing.
Over the past week I’ve added many customers in the U.S. and a list of customers from overseas. Here’s where some of the overseas guys came from.
Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Norway, Portugal, and Greece. I may have missed a few others.
The Internet gives me the opportunity to reach people that I would not otherwise be able to reach and help so many more people become healthy and fit.
After I showed the boys the list I explained to them that they could help me by telling their friends about the Combat program and I in turn would pay them an affiliate fee for every sale that they made.
They were already excited but when I told them that I would give them 40% of any sale that they made. They were really excited. Remember, they’re college kids that can always use some extra spending money.
What about you? It’s time for me to really start getting more people on board. If you believe in Combat Endurance Training program and would like to help others feel the same benefits then listen to this.
I’m starting to build my army of Combat Endurance Training affiliates. If you’re interested in spreading the word by word of mouth, email, or any other way all you need to do to get started is send me an email at my private email at nicksmaa@charter.net subject- Combat affiliate.
40% for your help. Everyone knows people and businesses that I would never be able to come in contact with. I understand that I need help and I just as soon have people out there talking about my product who know about and have felt the benefit.
Give it some thought. I’d be happy to have you aboard to help me spread the word.

Sarcastic Wednesday October 2nd, 2008
Do you ever get to the point where you look around you and you just wonder what the heck is going on? I think we all do. On Wednesday I drove through downtown La Crosse at 9 am in the morning and the streets were full of people and many of the roads were blocked off. I’m sure you all heard about this on the national news Wednesday night. Barack Obama was in town to give us his version of how he’s going to make things right in this country.
As I was driving down the street I watched as crowds of people were already walking downtown to get their places so that they could be saved. As I watched these people go to see their newest savior it reminds me of cattle going to slaughter.
I don’t know who I’m going to vote to for sure. I would like to see a leader step up, I don’t care if he’s Republican or Democrat, and actually have the courage to do and say what he actually says he’s going to do..
I would like for our leaders to quit filling all of us with this load of garbage that government is going to take care of all of us. Are you kidding me. How about instead of telling us how you’re going to be our babysitter, give us some hope that you’re going to help people be more responsible for making their own decisions and running their own lives. Now that might be a stretch for some because I know that we live in times of heavy entitlement. You see how well that plan is working.
I went through the drive thru at my bank and joked with a friend who works there about whether or not she could make a call to her central bank and ask if the guys up there have a billion that I could have because I’d like to turn a few things around in my business. We laughed but isn’t that about how it goes. AIG or our money lenders screw a whole country, get rich in the process, and laugh as the government comes riding into the rescue. Is anyone going to be held accountable in this mess.
How’s one bill for little old me going to cause any harm. We’ll just crank up the money making machine and run some more paper. That’s all it is anyway, just a little old paper.
This past week I made a very difficult decision to close one of my Karate schools. It was a decision that I did not want to make but knew that I had to. I wrote a letter to all the families affected and told them what our plans were to combine the two schools into one and how we were planning to move forward and make one Super School. I then made myself available last week and this to answer questions and field the frustration that people had.
Here’s my point. I made a tough decision. I’m the one who is responsible for making it right. I accept the challenge and will do my best to make it happen. I will do what I say that I’m going to do.
We all have to make decisions about the quality of life. We all have to deal with obstacles. When it’s all said and done the choices WE MAKE determine the quality of our lives and the lives of those around us. If we screw up we have to be held accountable and face the music. It really is true, if it doesn’t kill us it only makes us stronger
I just hope, for the sake of America, that there are still some in political office that are true to their word and still speak the truth. Lord knows that we have already seen what a bunch of greed and unaccountability can accomplish.
So for the sake of all Americans I hope that we still have some leaders in Washington, both men and women, who can man up and women up and say and do what really is the best for the nation as a whole.
Fred Nicklaus
The Core Strength Doctor
P.S. What about decisions about your health.. I’ve heard so much crap about how some folks want to get healthy. Remember, it’s all about your choices. No one tells you to be healthy or unhealthy. It’s all up to you. So whether you’re someone who takes care of your health or needs to get your butt off the couch and get started take a trip to www.CombatEnduranceTraining.com and find a solution to your improved health, strength, and energy levels
P.S.S. I got my first shipment of the 9 Minute Combat Endurance Training Workout Book. It’s official. I’m now a published author. You can find the book on Amazon.com for $19.95 or go to www.CombatEnduranceTraining.com, get your copy for $16.95 and I’ll be happy to sign it for you.

Where’s The Glitz? September 17th, 2008
Another great weekend. My son was home from college and it was good to see him. On Friday night we went to his high school’s football game. They were actually playing my daughter’s school. It’s a big time rivalry and my son’s team won 20-0 so he has bragging rights for the football season. He was pretty good about it and didn’t rub it in too bad.
What about those Packers. I think our boy Aaron Rodgers is the real deal. I think he’ll do just fine. It seems that he may not have all of the glitz and packaging that Brett had, but it also seems that he has studied well and prepared for his role.
Speaking of glitz and packaging I was having a conversation with a person who is very well schooled in Internet marketing. He told me that he was watching an infomercial the other night and the packaging of the product caught his eye. It was very well displayed and very attractive. I understand the appeal that this might have to the eye.
I’ve decided to go a different route. My 9 Minute Combat Endurance workout is the star of my web site www.CombatEnduranceTraining.com. The DVD is very basic and comes in a plain white DVD sleeve. To this point everyone who has taken the time to purchase this product has raved about it’s simple, yet effective approach to better health and fitness. The other thing that they have all commented on is the short period of time, 9 minutes, that it takes to get your body moving in a powerful forward direction.
So what about glitz vs.simple. It may be me but I’ve always been one who is more attracted to things that work than things that just look good. How many times have you bought something that came in a beautiful package and with a lot of hype and promises as to how well it would work and you opened the package only to be disappointed in the results.
There is tremendous value and strength in simple ideas that can be easily applied that can really work for you. The 9 Minute Combat Endurance Training workout is a prime example of one of these instances. You’ve been listening to the things that I take time to write about. It’s my goal to establish an ongoing relationship with you and develop a sense of trust so that you feel comfortable taking some of the suggestions that I make. It’s much easier to buy from someone who is a welcome guest than it is to buy from an annoying pest.
If you haven’t already taken the step to get yourself this very simple but very effective quick results fitness program for yourself or a loved one, then I suggest that you make the move now. It’s a small investment in money and time with a chance for some life changing results for you. Do you think I’m telling it like it is and do you want to experience your best fitness. If your answers to those questions are yes than take the step now.
Fred Nicklaus
The Core Strength Doctor
P.S. Here’s one more thought. When you decide to jump into the Combat Endurance Training waters, I’m going to offer you one more thing that will put your mind at ease. You can try my program for one month and send it back if you aren’t completely satisfied at that time. I’ll gladly refund your money. You’d be the first one that I would have had to do that for. Combat Endurance Training is the REAL DEAL.
